Product Overview

PTFE - High-Performance Mechanical Thermoplastic

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a high-performance fluoropolymer with very high chemical resistance, a very low coefficient of friction, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -200°C to +260°C.  PTFE is also highly resistant to almost all corrosive chemicals, electrically insulating, and highly stable in almost every environment.

Features and Benefits:

  • Exceptional Wear Resistance: Perfect for high-stress applications, PTFE can handle wear with ease.
  • High Thermal Stability: Withstands extreme temperatures, maintaining its properties in harsh environments.
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids and solvents, ensuring longevity and reliability.
  • Low Moisture Absorption: Performs consistently even in wet conditions, keeping its integrity intact.
  • Electrical Insulator: High grade electrical resistance performs well even at high voltages.

Applications:

  • Aerospace: Ideal for high-temperature and high-stress components.
  • Chemical Processing: Excellent chemical resistance allows for exposure to both acidic and alkali materials.
  • Automotive: Durable and heat-resistant, perfect for various automotive parts.
  • Electronics: Great for insulative and heat-resistant components.
  • Industrial Machinery: Robust and long-lasting, suitable for parts that need to withstand tough conditions.
